Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream….. Clarins has changed this cream over time. When I first bought it, mid-90’s, it had a pleasant fragrance and was far more emollient. Loved it! Late 90’s or so, they changed the scent & added some astringent ingredient that made it feel tingly but decreased the emollient properties. At that point, I stopped using it regularly because the results just weren’t there. Out of curiosity, I purchased it again recently after trying a dab at Macy’s. The current formula has a fragrance similar to the original and does soften my skin, but has a greasy sheen that sits on the surface for quite awhile before absorbing….reminds me of the old Pond’s cream my mom used to use years ago. [actually have to wipe my hands a bit after applying or it puts fingerprints on everything I touch] Earlier opinion is confirmed & I won’t be purchasing this again regularly. Imo, a natural product like Avalon’s firming cream is effective, less expensive and non greasy.
The Creme De La Creme of Cream This is an amazing cream! After trying numerous body creams, Clarins is by far the best. It is really rich and luxurious without being greasy or nonabsorbent. It comes in a jar and it’s so thick that it looks almost like cream cheese when you first open it. As soon as you dip a finger in, you’ll know how amazing it is. I already mentioned how rich it is, but this can’t be overstated; while some other rich body creams can be really oily or difficult to absorb into the skin, that is not the case with Clarins Extra Firming Cream, once you rub it into your skin, it gets sucked up almost immediately and makes your skin softer and more supple — Dare I say that it feels like you’ve injected a youth serum. My skin always looks younger and smoother with this cream. Last but not least, the smell is really pleasant. It isn’t overwhelming but it has a very nice odor that dissipates within an hour.
extra firming creme and remodeling Excellent! you start to see results in few days. I don’t know in the long term, probably you need to keep using it, but is affordable and I really feel the difference.Love it
